Stable One is a luxury apartment, just across from the Lodge in our stables building!

It’s on 2 floors with a lovely private balcony upstairs to enjoy the sun rise and then another outside terrace downstairs with handmade oak table where you can also eat your meals on, or relax and watch the sun set behind the beautiful Nanos mountain in the evening!

There are also 2 separate bedrooms with aircon, a large modern kitchen with dishwasher & washing machine, a luxury bathroom with another mini bathroom upstairs for the kids, a cosy lounge area and even a secret hidden room for the kids (which we call the Egyptian room) with a secret spiral staircase leading upstairs!

There is a whopping 86 m2 to enjoy, including 23 m2 of private outdoor covered space for you to relax in!

Stable One is opposite from the main Lodge, but close enough to connect if you want to!

in Brief..

There is a covered private parking space for you next to the stables, private entrance terrace with oak table and benches outside, a double stable door into the entrance lounge with another family table & comfy benches for eating inside, a 32" LCD TV & cable TV, WiFi and a mini breakfast bar, a large modern kitchen with fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.. the parents bedroom with aircon is in the old stable off the lounge and there is a short corridor with a luxury bathroom and walk in shower..

A hidden door has to be first discovered by the kids through a secret wardrobe out to a secret indoor playroom for the kids and a space to dry clothes & washing.. a metal spiral staircase goes up to another private balcony and stable door leading to the kids air conditioned Cwtch (den in Welsh), a very long bedroom with one 3.8m long giant’s bed for 2 kids and another sleeping space with another hand made wooden bed for the eldest child.. a wash basin and toilet are hidden in the kid's very own bathroom behind a secret brick wall.

Lipizzaner Lodge is a very comfortable base indeed from which to plan your adventures around Green Slovenia and Stable One can be your home from home with the flexibility to cook for yourselves, whenever you want.

The apartment is rented as one unit, (not per person) for a minimum of 2 nights and costs €210 per night, (or €180 for a couple per night).. 

You can easily reach the whole of Green Slovenia from the Lodge.. all the way to lakes Bled, Bohinj, the 3 Alps, the Soca river, Ljubljana, Piran on the coast and even Venice & parts of the Croatian seaside..there really is so much to do and see from here, so we reward guests who stay for 7 days or more with a special weekly rate for Stable One of €1,360..

You also have the option to choose breakfast any morning and evening meals from our café if you prefer.. after all you are on holiday! And of course there are several lovely local restaurants, just a 5-10 min drive away, with even more within 20 mins!

Breakfast is not included as you have your own kitchen, but a lot of families treat themselves to our generous & varied Lodge "petit dejeuner".. it costs €15 per person, kids portions €8.

Relax, eat and enjoy the views and sunsets of the last Slovenian mountain, (Nanos 1,313m) on your own private entrance terrace or go upstairs for views across to St Lawrence mountain (1,017m) and our front paddock, maybe with a Lipizzaner grazing on the grass!

Downstairs..

You have your own parking space next to the Stables and a stone patio walkway to roll your luggage into a private undercover terrace with large hand made oak table for covered and shady outside eating.

Your entrance point is an authentic thick wooden double stable door which leads into a cosy lounge area with another Slovenian style bench and tables for inside eating, chillin and watching TV. There is also a breakfast bar for 2 kids with horsey bar stools.

The kitchen is large and modern with a Bosch fridge freezer, cooker, hob and dishwasher and lots of storage space. We tried to include every utensil you might need and there is also a washing machine for your convenience.

The parents actually sleep in the old stable with huge built in hand made wardrobes and aircon. There is an open archway through to a little corridor with a sliding door to the luxury bathroom, with huge walk in shower, toilet, washbasin, heated floor and heated towel rail.

At this point the kids might be wondering where they will sleep! It is best not to tell them in advance, as we love to play a little game and make them find the hidden secret cupboard doors which lead through to another door out into a hidden room with a dartboard, play area, washing line for drying clothes and most importantly.. the secret spiral staircase! 

Upstairs..

The secret staircase curves up to a lovely balcony terrace with super views, coffee table and chairs to relax on. There is a barn door into the kids sleeping area with a super long giant’s bed to sleep 2 kids and another larger hand made wooden bed through an open archway.. This long secret room also has aircon.

Mum's can often been found hiding out on the Kid's balcony, with view over the front paddock and to the Dinaric Alps..

The kids won't need to come downstairs in the night as they have their own little bathroom, which is also hidden away behind a secret wall.. if they can find it.. perfect for not annoying Mum and Dad at night, getting teeth brushed and for the kids to have their own independence from the Oldies too!

Our idea with Stable One was to create a home from home in a stables environment with Mum & Dad getting their own sleeping space below and the kids having lots of private space and adventures.

Stable One offers several additional, alternative & different features compared to what we have on offer in the main Lodge if guests prefer aircon, the use of a washing machine, a huge kitchen, even more space and 2 private terraces.. and to be just a little bit away from the main hotel over the other side of our main courtyard terrace..

Other Apartmenty stuff..

Lipizzaner Lodge is very deliberately located in the middle of the countryside, but with the very best logistical spot in the whole of Green Slovenia, being just 5-10 mins from 5 different motorway connections in ALL directions and just 10 mins from the local town of Postojna, with 6 large supermarkets.. please note, these supermarkets close about 8pm most weekdays and are closed on Sundays all day.
