this is a LODGE LOOP.. so you leave from the Lodge and come back to the Lodge..

Biking time about 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on loops chosen..

Can spend all or half day, depending on time spent at the castle..

DESCRIPTION..

Bike out from the Lodge joining mainly stone tracks and hugging the foothills of Nanos mountain, at 1,313m, the start of the 700km long Dinaric Alps .. See the St Michel dragon and the oldest Yew tree in Slovenia!

The E Bikes will help you climb up to the village of Strane, with the oldest Yew tree in Slovenia and from here you will leave the lush green fields behind for the thick forests of Nanos with sensational views across the Dinanric Alps.

The sides of these tracks are littered with white Karst rocks that we call "Dragon's teeth" and sinkholes. 

After a reasonable climb we turn towards the castle for a fabulous long downhill freewheel to where Nanos meets the back of Predjama village.

Park up at the castle and maybe visit the castle and have some lunch.. If you do NOT know about the amazing secret Batcave under the castle, then ask us beforehand as this is another great hour long tour, but only 2 or 3 times a day, so you will need to schedule it into your day!

When you have finished at the castle it is just a short, but beautiful cycle back to the Lodge along a quiet path and then a final curvy downhill forest road!

This is not just a castle to take a selfie at and see from the outside.. plan to visit it for sure (one hour) and we highly recommend the Batcave tour (one hour) in the huge secret cave below the castle too..

The ride to the castle is very short from the Lodge.. so you might decide to do this Tour in REVERSE, so you see the castle first and then do most of your E Bikng afterwards.. 

PLEASE NOTE: EVERYONE is different, so EVERY Lodge E Bike route can be as long or as short as you like.. we can help you choose the best route for your time available, interests and group dynamics.

Maybe you have just half a day, maybe you want to eat along the way, maybe you have never heard of a Disappearing lake.. it doesn't matter..
