E Car for a Week at the Lodge
We currently have 2 overnight E Chargers at the Lodge especially for guests who want to bring their own E Car or rent one and make the best use of our fantastic central location between the mountains & the Mediterranean sea as a base to explore Green Slovenia in short Green hops.
We have solar panels installed on the entire length of our long Stables roof to collect the plentiful Slovenian sunshine here on the sunny side of the Alps and we are very proud to produce more power than we all use at the Lodge!
The Lodge is so close to All of the best Green bits in Slovenia that an overnight charge should be enough for most trips..
So we are delighted to prove that point now with the help of Laurent & family from Belgium who stayed this summer at the Lodge for a week and brought their Kia E Niro kWh with them.. And NOT ONCE did they need to to top up or fast charge during the day, any recharging was done overnight at the Lodge!
Laurent was kind enough to keep a log of his recharges and E Car Green adventures over the week to give you some kind of idea what you can get up to from here with your E Car.
The family drove to Green Slovenia from Belgium, stopping off overnight in Munich.. so they had a relaxed 2 day journey here..
So thank you so much Laurent and family.. and here is how you can do it..

So there you have it.. we are absolutely bursting with pride on so many levels here.
Firstly that a guest would be so kind to send us this info and then when you look at all the amazing places the family went during the week with just their E car and on foot!
This itinerary is just one example of so many amazingly different weeks you could spend here at the Lodge visiting all over Green Slovenia.. (by the way we put links to some of the places the family went to from our own "Secret Places to Visit" section, so you can read more, if you like)..
We have a whole page about Going Green in Slovenia and another about NOT even having a Car here at all..
We also have a fleet of top quality E Bikes to rent by the day and lots of new routes for this season, so we hope to tell a few more E Bike stories too!
But final thanks once more to Laurent and his family and he also calculated how much the (fast) / charging would have cost on public rechargers, so here are his calculations..
€ 0,671per kWh on a 22kw charger
€ 0,660per kWh on a 75kw charger
€ 0,872per kWh on a 350kw charger
